HCCJ irrevocably rejected the appeal to the judgment whereby the remunerations from private copy were transferred by the sole collector UPFR to ARAIEX
On the 04th of June 2014, in docket no. 6472/2/2012, the High Court of Cassation and Justice rejected the appeal filed by ARAIEX (Artists’ Association of Romania) against the Civil Judgment no. 1457/24th of April 2013, whereby the Bucharest Court of Appeal ordered the cancellation of Decision no. 62/2012 of ORDA (Romanian Copyright Office) (whereby the remunerations from private copy were transferred by the sole collector UPFR (Union of Phonogram Producers in Romania) to ARAIEX).
