The Bucharest Court of Appeal rejected the request of ARAIEX for the suspension of the decision whereby CREDIDAM was designated as the sole collector for the cable source
On the 18th of February 2014, in docket no. 7714/2/2013 – trial won by ARAIEX (Artists’ Association of Romania), the Bucharest Court of Appeal, Administrative and Fiscal Contentious Section, rejected as unfounded the request for the suspension of Decisions no. 120/20th of September 2013 and 121/20th of September 2013 of ORDA (Romanian Copyright Office) (based on the two decisions mentioned above, CREDIDAM (Romanian Center for Performers’ Rights Management) was designated as the sole collector of the remunerations owed to performers and/or players from the cable – phonogram and audiovisual source).
